I think what you are saying is that you are selling your truck because you want to buy a 4-wheel drive truck to pull your boat and trailer with, and you are open to trading your truck for a four-wheel drive truck...is that correct?

I thought most Izuzus came with 4 wheels or is this a cheaper version ??

Hello Mr easterneye !

I have been studying pick up trucks in depth as I need to decide which one I will be buying when I get to Thailand. As you know we do not have as many pick ups in the UK as there are in Thailand so, every chance I've had, I have made it my business to ask owners about their vehicles when I have seen them

I imagine that the OP requires a 4 x 4 for towing purposes, the traction is much better on rough roads and the combination of truck/trailer becomes more stable and secure. Surprisingly the differences between consumption figures / horse powers between 2.5 litre and 3.0 litre engines are quite small.

My post is made because I drove a 2.5 Isuzu pickup all over Udon Thani and Nong Khai for a week a couple of years ago. Although not a new model, it performed superbly and I can thoroughly recommend it. The driver's position gave great all round visibility and although not speedy it gave a great feeling of security because of its size. I didn't keep precise figure about fuel consumption but it seemed to be reasonable.

I would be tempted to buy this vehicle as described. I've driven just about every make of 4 x 4 and the Isuzu cannot be faulted. ( I would never buy a Range Rover or a Shogun as they fall well short of what I want.)

The Isuzu MU X is a SUV but is essentially the same vehicle as the pickup, same hard chassis, transmission and engine. Very nice vehicle.

HI everybody, you're right, I sell this MU X, ( price reduced to 980 000) because I want to buy boat with trailer and need 4 wheels on the sand.
But I don't need absolutly 3L, and 2.5L is enough for me.
The engine of MU X is perfect, economical and very efficient.

All MU X 2.5L come with 2 WD. only.
If you want 4WD MUX you must buy 3L.
