Would you support a chiropractor in Udon Thani?

Postby Dingo » April 26, 2012, 12:05 pm

Hi again
There really is no new update/s to mention. I'm still trying to entice a chiropractor to Udon, however not much success so far.
I'm in need of a "crunch" now and will probaly end up going back to BKK ofr treatment.
I will be taking all these comments and posts with me as verification of interest, so, if you are prepared to assist, then put your case forward on this thread and I guarantee the comments will be hand delivered to a chiropractor for onforwarding to management. Maybe the opportunity is still there to lure a professional to our city?

Thanks

Dingo

Hi. I have had a problem back for 15 years now. I may be lucky as when I feel it is clicked-out, I get my thai friend to put pressure on the area with his foot or hands with me lying flat on the floor, and this clicks it back into place. I usally get him to go from bottom to top of the back bone.
If my friends are not around, I go swimming and this pulls it into line also. Having a very hot shower also on my ache area I get relief and a good sleep.

Hey all you guys looking for a chiropractor, I just got back from an acupuncture treatment at our local hospital here in Amnat Charoen, which has a department specializing in Chinese medicine. The acupuncture room was full so they put me next door where they were doing Chinese massage. Now I've used chiros back in the States, and what these girls were doing looked an awful lot like chiropractic manipulations, things like applying pressure in opposite directions to stretch the muscles and align the bones. And they seemed to know what they were doing. (They were right pretty also.) The cost is 250 baht per hour. so you might seek out a hospital in Udon that has a Chinese medicine department and see if they do massage. Of course, I expect that many of you have already done this, but just thought I'd throw it out there.

Jimbo
Thanks for that info, I will definately check it out.
The current situation for luring a chiropractor to Udon is that, it is now license renewal time for most chiro's in Thailand. I've spoken to my doctor in BKK and he "has the word out for us". He is also following this thread as well, so keep the positive comments coming. My chiro is unable to set up in Udon because of contractual arrangements and personal situation but seems confident that he may entice another, to come up here, and at least check the place out.
Personally, I haven't given up hope just yet!!!
Cheers

Hi again all,
Just a quick update for all those interested.
"Things are moving in the right direction" \:D/
I won't elaborate more than that at the moment but hopefully within the first half of this year, we "may" have a permanent Chiropractor in UT :D

For those who are still interested or to those who have alreday submitted responses, please add to this thread so that we know we have genuine support.

I'll keep you updated

Great news, Dingo,

Thanks for your never ending efforts in procuring a Chiropractor for we that are in such need of their services in the Udon and surrounding areas.

Not only for we, Falangs; it's obvious when seeing the Thais folks, those poor souls, shuffling around in their old crooked bodies never having had the option of understanding how a 'good and thorough' Chiropractic provider could enrich their everyday lives to such a great degree.

As Udon is growing and projected to be the hub of all upper Issan, the first 'good/thorough' Chiropractor that establishes his practice here will most defiantly have the edge on all that follow.

It won't take long for the more educated/sharp Chinese/Chinese Thai business community to gasp the advantages of Chiropractic services.

A wealth of business awaits the first such pioneering Chiropractor that establishes his practice in, Udon.

Thanks again, mate...

Hi Guys
Thanks Doc for your praise, not necessary, but definately appreciated. Also a big thank you to all those who have registered their support.
I have to say, I am "stuffed", this has been a long drawn out process and I would like to see it come to fruition, however from what I have seen in the past week, on this thread, the interest has dwindled quite considerably since we started.
I am a little apprehensive in saying that I will be outlaying "quite a few bucks" of my own money to lure a Chiropractor over here. The outlay is not only for personal gain but for the betterment of those who appreciate good Chiropractic care overall.
It has been, and still is, an effort to even get the attention of someone interested enough to come here and set up a practice. Please............if you are serious about needing a qualified, licensed Chirpractor to set up in UT, then please add to this thread, so that I know that I am not wasting time and money, or if you have any encouragement or posts, simply add to the presentation to help in securing a suitable candidate. I know they will be watching and assessing the situation so please, some positives will help immensely!
I remain committed............

Cheers
